Dr. Lu is a John A. and Frances P. Ware Endowed Associate Professor and the Director of Pharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics Track at R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy, one of the premier Pharmacy Schools (ranked No. 4 by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy), at the University of Arizona (UArizona), a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), a distinction to only 69 North America's premier research institutions. UArizona had more than $955 million total R&D expenditures in 2023, which ranked No. 36 in US by NSF Higher Education Research and Development (HERD) Survey (https://ncsesdata.nsf.gov/profiles/site?method=rankingBySource&ds=herd ).
The overarching goal of the Lu lab strives to develop innovative, safe, and efficacious therapeutics at the interface of drug discovery and delivery, synthetic chemistry, pharmaceutics, nanotechnology, and tumor immunology to address the pressing unmet needs in current cancer, heart, and Alzheimer's diseases therapy and prevention.
